For that reason, hoses are offered separately in multiple lengths so you can choose the configuration that best fits your setup.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn some installations, a shorter hose may be all that is needed. In others a longer hose may be necessary to reach the water supply. A rule of thumb would be to measure the distance from your water supply to your fountain mounting location and add ~2 feet for the vertical hose connections. \u003cem\u003eFor example, the 2 foot hose is for a water supply within 6\" of the fountain.
