Backyard Drinking Fountain Co.™ is a small, family-owned business based just outside Detroit, Michigan. We design and build premium outdoor drinking fountains that make it easy for families to enjoy clean, filtered drinking water in their own backyards—without permanent plumbing.

Our mission is simple: bring back one of childhood's greatest memories in a way that makes sense today.

Our Story

If you grew up before bottled water followed us everywhere, you probably remember drinking from the garden hose.

We certainly do.

Some of our favorite childhood memories were riding bikes around the neighborhood until dark, playing pickup games with friends, and stopping only long enough to turn on the hose and wait for the water to run cold. On a hot summer day, nothing tasted better.

Then, almost overnight, those moments disappeared.

As we learned more about chemicals that can leach from many traditional garden hoses and the effects of water sitting in a hot hose under the summer sun, families understandably stopped using them for drinking water. A simple backyard tradition quietly faded away.

Years later, after becoming parents ourselves, we realized our own children never experienced those same moments. We searched for a simple outdoor drinking water solution designed specifically for homeowners—but couldn't find one.

So we decided to build it ourselves.

Backyard Drinking Fountain Co. was created to bring clean, convenient drinking water back outdoors while giving families a reason to spend more time outside together.
