The SafeSupply™ Drinking Water Hose was developed for customers who care about what their water travels through before it reaches the fountain. Built around an industrial-grade FDA-compliant food and steam hose core, each hose is engineered for potable water applications and paired with premium 304 stainless steel fittings and food-safe silicone sealing washers throughout.

The result is a purpose-built outdoor drinking water hose that feels substantially different from typical consumer hoses the moment you pick it up.

Unlike common PVC or vinyl garden hoses, the SafeSupply™ Drinking Water Hose system uses a high-quality EPDM food-safe inner hose protected by a stainless steel exterior mesh sleeve for added durability, abrasion resistance, and a clean premium appearance designed to complement the FountainOne™ collection.

This is not a standard garden hose.

It is a specialized potable water supply hose designed specifically for outdoor drinking fountain applications.

Why a Steam Hose?

Most residential garden hoses are designed primarily for irrigation and general outdoor use. The industrial-grade hose core used inside the SafeSupply™ Drinking Water Hose was originally engineered for demanding food and steam applications where high temperatures, sanitation, durability, and long-term material stability matter.

That matters outdoors.

Sun exposure, heat, hot pavement, and high summer temperatures can accelerate wear and breakdown in lower-grade hoses over time. By starting with a commercial-grade food and steam hose platform, the SafeSupply™ Drinking Water Hose is built with a significantly higher level of heat and environmental resistance than a typical consumer hose.

While this hose is not intended for steam transfer use in residential applications, the commercial-grade temperature capability and EPDM construction contribute to its durability, stability, and long-term outdoor performance.

Why We Built Our Own

During development of the FountainOne™ collection, we searched extensively for a drinking water-safe hose that matched the quality standards we wanted for our fountains.

Most hoses available on the market relied heavily on PVC, vinyl, or lower-grade materials that we simply were not comfortable using in a product designed specifically for drinking water.

Rather than compromise, we decided to build our own.

The SafeSupply™ Drinking Water Hose combines industrial-grade potable water hose technology with premium residential materials and aesthetics to create a hose system specifically designed for outdoor drinking fountain use.

Why We Don't Include a Hose by Default

Every installation is different.

The distance between your fountain and its water source will vary depending on where the fountain is mounted in relation to the hose bib or outdoor spigot. For that reason, hoses are offered separately in multiple lengths so you can choose the configuration that best fits your setup.

In some installations, a shorter hose may be all that is needed. In others a longer hose may be necessary to reach the water supply. A rule of thumb would be to measure the distance from your water supply to your fountain mounting location and add ~2 feet for the vertical hose connections. For example, the 2 foot hose is for a water supply within 6" of the fountain. The 5 foot hose would allow about 3 feet of distance from the water supply and the 10 foot hose would allow for about an 8 foot distance.

Offering separate hose lengths allows for a cleaner, more flexible installation without forcing every customer into the same configuration.

Many standard garden hoses can introduce unwanted taste, odor, or materials—especially when exposed to heat. While filtration improves water quality, it does not correct issues introduced upstream. Starting with a high-quality hose ensures better results from the entire system.
